ShareTickets On Sale For 6th Annual BBQ Round Up: Lance Armstrong, cycling champion and cancer survivor, joins Rep. Rose for an update on the fight against cancer
Dripping Springs, Texas (October 1, 2009) –State Rep. Patrick M. Rose (D-Dripping Springs) welcomes Lance Armstrong to his 6th Annual BBQ Round Up at the Salt Lick Pavilion on Sunday, October 11th. The doors open at 4:30 pm.
Rep. Rose partnered with Mr. Armstrong in 2007 to create the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas. With support from a statewide coalition that included the Lance Armstrong Foundation, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, and the American Cancer Society, Texas voters approved this 10-year $3 billion initiative to make Texas the leader in cancer research and prevention.
Rep. Rose’s annual BBQ at the Salt Lick has become a Texas Hill Country tradition with an annual attendance of over 1,000 friends and supporters.
